Management of rehabilitation programs (Diploma program in diplomatic studies)
Overview about diploma program:
We have taken into account when designing diplomacy diploma studies program year 1399/1400 to be a main pillar and pragmatic spirit for the rehabilitation of Saudi diplomats by providing them due expertise, scientific and practical efficiency, in addition to increasing their knowledge and cultural prejudice in field of direct diplomatic process to enable them to perform their tasks represented in the functional representation of the Kingdom in line with its growing levels in the Arab, Islamic and international levels.
The Institute since its foundation is working to provide employees of the Foreign Ministry opportunity of joining diploma program in accordance with the following conditions:
- Applicant must be a diplomat in Foreign Ministry.
- Must have a university degree with a good grade at least from one of Saudi universities or equivalent.
- Pass acceptance written and oral tests organized by the Institute, including the testing of English language.
- Have passed a year at least since joining Foreign Ministry.
- Must provide acceptance of his work to be fully attained in the program.
The diploma program comprise of four classrooms each for a period of sixteen weeks of study, five days a week at seven lectures a day. Teaching and training in the diploma program will be provided through a selected Saudis Professors (20 lecturers), and four Arab professors. During study, scholars receive basic theoretical knowledge of a range of fields such as international politics, foreign policy, regional political studies, Palestinian studies, basics of diplomacy, political analysis, international law, international organizations, international negotiations, international economy, history of the Saudi Arabia, Political geography of the Kingdom, basics and rules of scientific research, means of communication and media, financial and administrative affairs, computer, Arabic language, and English language. Diploma program includes also attending some public lectures, and participation in field visits inside and outside the Kingdom.
The following conditions are required to obtain diplomatic studies:
- Attendance percentage of 85% at least out of school hour's assessments.
- Achieve an accumulative rate of not less than 2/4 points in all subjects.
- Pass the written and oral exam
- Prepare and discuss graduation research that is considered the passing mark to get diploma degree.
After due completion for above mentioned requirements, the attendant will be granted diplomatic diploma certificate that will qualify him for the position of third secretary equivalent to the eighth organizational position.
