The management of development programs is considered as one of the diplomatic studies institute departments undertaken one of the most important tasks and goals encountered by the institute, which is providing the employees of Foreign Ministry and other government agencies with due knowledge in various scientific fields related to diplomatic work "achieved through training programs provided by the Institute, management development programs related to designing, implementation and follow-up of such programs from time to time in line with latest encounters and enhance productivity for those joining such programs in order to enable them follow up and meet all variables on the international arena.
The management of development programs is providing specialized training programs in specific areas, such as Bank and International Relations, Consular Affairs, informational, economic and diplomatic conduct, in addition to foreign languages, courses such as a short-term strategy such as strategic and guiding courses and those programs related to the preparations for the United Nations General Assembly all the year. The management development programs currently working on developing some training programs that are meant to keep abreast of developments in the international field.
A training section for the wives of diplomats is established under the directorate of development programs which regulates since the academic year 1400-1401H, that gives cultural courses for the wives of diplomats in order to enable them to become acquainted with some knowledge necessary to support their husbands in performing their diplomatic missions.
