Strategic Studies Centre on Sunday 17 Safar 1428H, within its scientific activities conducted a panel discussion on the evolution of American elections, development of candidates and issues related to such elections.
The session was headed by Dr. Thomas F. Schaller, associate professor of political science at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. The discussion included the elections in the two parties, the Republicans and Democratics and the most important issues and trends and influential groups in the current elections. Also the Palestinian issue was discussed along with the situation in Iraq and Iran.
The session was attended by experts from the Institute and Saudi universities, officials from the Foreign Ministry and relevant government authorities.
